Getting Involved

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Cape Fear Botanical Garden.

Join us and make a difference today!

Cape Fear Botanical Garden has fun and challenging volunteer opportunities available year-round. From pruning and weeding the Garden grounds, to working with children at one of our popular festivals, we are happy to find a project that will interest you! Volunteer projects at the Garden include:

   - Working outdoors with our Grounds Staff

   - Assisting in the office with mailings, filing, etc.

   - Assisting at a Special Event or Festival

   - Driving a golf cart for visitors on the weekend

   - Working with children and adults during Education

You may want to join us on Wednesday Volunteer Days, where you will make friends and learn from expert gardeners while you help improve the Garden grounds. Or, you may prefer to work during the hours that are most convenient for you on a project that best matches your interests and talents. Our staff members often work one-on-one with volunteers who are interested in a particular field of work, such as marketing or horticulture.

Cape Fear Botanical Garden volunteers include retirees, full-time working adults, high school and college students, as well as Boy and Girl Scouts. We invite you to join us and start making a difference today!
