Catch a glimpse of the people behind the vines. These amazing men and women strive to present you the best and most gorgeous Garden each and every day- it doesn’t just grow itself! Thank you to our Horticulture Staff for maintaining this beautiful sanctuary for all to enjoy.
Adriana is from Ohio and has taken over as our Interim Executive Director while also doing her duties as Director of Education and Horticulture. She has a lot on her plate but makes sure to still get out in the Garden to get her hands dirty. As the horticulture director, she decides what kind of plants populate the garden and where they would best fit. “My favorite part of being at the Garden is seeing folks who had no idea what a gem the Garden was, come away from it the first time with awe and wonder at how beautiful it is.” -Adriana Quiñones
Chris is from Fayetteville and has worked at the Garden just over a year. Chris helps keep the Garden’s aesthetic appeal by maintaining all the plants and land as well as repairing any irrigation problems, like he is doing in the photo! He has two children and loves to bring them to the Garden to show off his work. “I take pride in seeing school groups learning from the Garden and families enjoying the beauty that I helped create and maintain.” -Chris Ketchum.
Denise comes to us from Berlin, Germany and has been with the Garden since June of 2015. She has been working diligently on improving the Children’s garden and making it a place that children love by building this deck and planting flowers. Denise says it’s hard to pick a favorite part of the Garden but if she had to she’d pick the most colorful gardens, the Heritage Garden and the Butterfly Stroll. “I love having the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful garden everyday with the friendly folks I work with.” -Denise Warfield
