With almost three miles of paths and trails, plenty of fresh air and beautiful scenery, the Cape Fear Botanical Garden is a unique alternative to a health club and a terrific place to get some exercise. YOGA IN THE GARDEN
The Garden and the YMCA of Sandhills have partnered to bring you Yoga classes. Grab your yoga mat and rejuvenate at our peaceful yoga session in the beautiful Orangery (or outdoors as weather permits) from 6pm-7pm. Improve your flexibility, build strength, ease tension, and relax through posture and breathing techniques for beginners and experts alike! Bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and an open mind to enjoy this all-levels class!
DATES: Usually every Wednesday evening at 6pm but please check the Calendar ahead of time.
FEE: CFBG member: FREE | YMCA of the Sandhills member: FREE | Non-member: $5 session.
TAI CHI FOR HEALTH
Practice this flowing eastern exercise with instructor Rich Martin* while overlooking the Garden. Classes are held every Tuesday from 10am – 11:30am. Dress for the weather as class may be held outside when weather allows. Tai Chi is best practiced in loose, comfortable clothing. A water bottle will help keep you refreshed. People of all fitness levels and physical conditions can learn these movements and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle. Walk-ins are welcome.
