Adult Workshop: Build a Bat House September 7th 2-4 pm
Assemble your own bat house to support bat conservation efforts and provide natural mosquito control without resorting to any pesticides. Most bats in NC look to nest in small spaces between tree bark and a tree trunk, by providing a bat house we are able to mimic the animals’ natural homes and allow even small backyard space to become an important wildlife habitat. Plus, observing bats acrobatic flights is an exciting opportunity!
Audience Target: This event is perfect for adults on their own, couples, or small groups. No experience with assemble or tools is necessary. Children must be at least 10 years of age.
Format: A short presentation on bat conservation will be followed by the hands-on assembly of your own bat house.
