Dog Day in the Garden

May 1, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Wag your tail all the way to Cape Fear Botanical Garden on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 12 PM to 5 PM for the 7th annual Dog Day in the Garden! This event is a special opportunity to bring the whole family, dogs included, to the Garden for a paw-sitivley paw-some day! Dog Day in the Garden is a joint fundraiser for Cape Fear Botanical Garden and Fayetteville Animal Protection Society (FAPS). FAPS will have adoptable dogs and cats at the Garden in hopes to find fur-ever homes! *Please note, adoptions can not be made at the Garden. You must go through the Fayetteville Animal Protection Society to fill out an application and go through the adoption process.*  Activities include door prizes for the first 250 guests, raffles, vendors, food trucks, a cash bar, a photo booth, activities for children, a doggy obstacle course, a pup pageant, nail trimming, a blood drive through the Blood Connection, live music by Whiskey Pines, and more.

No retractable leashes are allowed at this event. Please bring your poop bags – and pick up after your pups! Please note that Sunday is projected to be a warm day. Wear your SPF sunscreen and make sure your pooches stay well hydrated. Multiple water stations will be provided.

This event is FREE for Garden members and included in daily admission for non-members. Dogs admitted FREE.

Thank you to our tail-wagging sponsors:

Riverbark Veterinary Hospital, Webb Carpet Company, Grapes & Hops, Tractor Supply Company, Gun Dog Supply, Naturally Unleashed, Duck Donuts, and King Party Rentals.
