Feed your Mind: Carnivorous Plants with Education Manager Barbara Goldentyer

Join Education Manager Barbara Goldentyer to learn about the unique world of carnivorous plants and the many native NC species. This informative session will delve into the fascinating mechanisms these plants use to catch and digest prey, their unique growing environment, and how to care for your own carnivorous plants.
Instructor Bio: Barbara Goldentyer has been the Education Manager at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden since 2019. She holds Master’s Degrees in Environmental Studies and Sociology. She has loved carnivorous plants since middle school when she bought and promptly killed her first Venus fly trap. She is excited to teach everyone how to avoid her mistakes.
Audience Target: This class is perfect for anyone interested in cool plants. The class is designed for adults, but children of all ages are also welcome!
Format: This is a lunchtime lecture style presentation.
