Bring your family to experience history in your local Garden. Light refreshments will be available and Garden Railway merchandise will be sold in the Gift Shop.
What is a Golden Spike Ceremony?
The first Golden Spike Ceremony was the final spike driven by Leland Stanford to join the rails of the First Transcontinental Railroad across the United States connecting the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Summit, Utah Territory.
