Nature Escape and Succulent Terrarium Craft
June 20th 9:30-11:30am
Please meet in the Lobby located beside the gift shop. Wear closed toed shoes that are suitable for walking and, bring a water bottle if you wish. Beverages are for sale in the Garden gift shop as well.
Join us for a Nature Escape and experience the art of Forest Bathing, a traditional Japanese technique, “ Shinrin Yoku”. “Shinrin” means Forest and “Yoku” stands for bathing. Forest bathing is the practice of immersing yourself in nature in a mindful way, using your senses to derive a whole range of benefits for your physical, mental, emotional, and social health.
In this continuation of Nature Escapes, participants will practice the art of Forest Bathing with Mallory Schroer, Therapeutic Horticulture Manager. There will be a short break and then we will engage in a creative activity, under the shade of the pavilion beside the Great Lawn. Live instruction will be provided on how to create a lovely home for succulents, and you will take home your creation.
Fee: $45 (Members: $40) — Preregister Here: https://form.jotform.com/230543299421051
