Unfold your imagination at our Origami Days! Twice a month from now until September we will be offering cultural programs and classes that coincide with the OrigamintheGarden2 exhibit. Come back all summer long to experience OrigamiintheGarden2 for free with a Garden membership! Garden members also receive discounts in the Garden Gift Shop and on special programing. Origami Days is included in regular daily admission or Garden membership.

Schedule of Events for 5/18/19:

Origami Exhibit tour: 12:00pm
Learn about the story and meaning behind each sculpture by one of CFBG’s volunteers.

Ikebana demonstration: 2:00pm
Enjoy a demonstration of 5-6 arrangements of traditional Japanese floral arranging. MaryLee Hawse will illustrate a cross section of the history of the Ikenobo School, from classical to Free Style designs. The school is over 600 years old. It is interesting to see how the designs have changed to meet the modern age.

Shade plant walk: 3:30pm
Take a tour of some of the Garden’s plants native to Asia.

Kite making: Every half hour starting at 12:30pm
Make your own kite and see how high it goes!

Paper airplane targets: Throughout
Design and fold a paper airplane and see if you can get it through the target!
