Pondamania – Family Play Day

On June 8, the Kids are taking over the Garden! Pondamania 2024 – A Children’s Art Explosion will celebrate 6 years of combining art with nature. Pondamania is a day filled with a wide variety of art activities including visual arts, dancing, garden exploration, animals, food, and fun. COME DRESSED TO PLAY!

This year our theme is What Can You Do With a Rock? — based on the book of the same name.

Events, Displays & Activities throughout the Garden from 10am-3pm, including:

• Climbing wall from The Climbing Place
• Gem Mining (with a real sluice!)
• Geodes – Crack Your Own!
• Exhibit by NC Fossil Museum
• Miniature farm animals petting area from Pint Sized Pastures
• Art Projects like rock painting, cairn building, and DIY geodes
• Reptile Exhibit from Herpcentric
• NC Museum of Natural Sciences
• Yard Games, Bubbles, Storytime…
• Plus food trucks, snacks, beverages, and more!

Admission Information

• Kids 10 & under admitted FREE
• Ages 11+: $15 (non member)
• Ages 11+: $10 (Garden members)

Admission includes all crafts, demonstrations, workshops, and other fun. Food, drinks and shopping with vendors at additional cost.
Note: No Guest Passes will be accepted as admission for this event.
