Summer Camp Volunteer Training

Looking for a rewarding summer experience? Become a Summer Camp Assistant and make a difference in the life of young campers.

As a Summer Camp Assistant you will:

• Become a role models to younger children
• Help campers with crafts, science experiments, and games
• Explore the Garden and nature in a new way
• Support children with special needs
• Build experience working with children
• Support the camp instructor
• Clean up and setup for camp

Eligibility:

Volunteers must be 16 years old or older or have previously attended camp at the Garden. You must commit to an entire camp session (typically Mon-Fri). Plan to arrive 30 mins before the start of camp and stay 30 mins after the end of camp each day. There is a mandatory background check for volunteers ages 18+. All volunteers must attend a Summer Camp Volunteer Training.

There is a second camp volunteer training on May 7th from 2-4pm. Volunteers only need to attend one session.
