Cape Fear Botanical Garden is excited to bring you this one-of-a-kind exhibit from Hortication® — An unexpected journey exploring the All-American culture and phenomenon of NASCAR through the lens of the plant world.
What in the world do plants have to do with racing, you ask? Well, it started with corn, but through the years the cultural interplay of moonshine, tobacco and hemp have played key roles.

Throughout the exhibit, the CFBG Heritage Series will explore additional aspects of Eastern North Carolina’s history with classes, concerts, tastings, and other opportunities that give you even more reasons to visit the Garden.

June 16: 6:30-8pm – Stories from the Speedway: An evening with NASCAR photographer Keith Smith and Special Guest Harold Brasington III, grandson of Darlington Raceway founder. PLUS: Live Music, Moonshine Cocktails & More.
