Where is the Garden?

The Cape Fear Botanical Garden is located right off of business 301 (Eastern Blvd) next to down town Fayetteville. Our address 536 N Eastern Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28301 and if you have any questions about directions please call 910-486-0221.

Where do I park?

The Garden has approximately 200 parking spaces next to the main complex that is available throughout the event. Patrons can park AT THEIR OWN RISK on the service road that leads to the Garden. 

 

Do you walk or drive thru Holiday Lights?

Holiday lights is an event where guests explore the Garden on foot to see our stunning light show, enjoy beautiful decorations, devour yummy treats, shop in our holiday market, create crafts, enjoy story time with an Elf, and meet our special guest (ho-ho-ho!).

 

What’s included in my ticket?

Your ticket includes a self-guided tour through our beautiful light display, a craft, story time, a visit with Santa and a cup of hot cocoa. Refreshments, s’mores kits, train tickets, Breakfast for Dinner tickets and pictures with Santa are available for purchase at the event.

 

How long does it take to see the lights?

There is approximately a mile long figure eight loop of the Garden that will be lit up for the event, a light show over the cypress pond, and plenty of indoor activities including Santa, Santa’s Little Workshop, crafts, and more. Guests can stay for the entire time allotted or choose to visit only their favorite locations, so it is dependent on the guests how long they choose to stay.

 

When is the best time to visit?

The best time to visit is right when we open at 5:30pm, this allows ample time to visit all the different areas at Holiday lights and see all the lighting and decoration.

 

When is the last entrance?

Last admission will be allowed in at 8:30pm.

 

Can I drop off/pick up a ticketed guest?

Guests can be dropped off and picked up at the main entrance loop as long as their ride picks them up no later than 9pm that evening.

 

Any tips for visiting with children?

Since the event is both indoors and outdoors dress children in layers so they can comfortable the entire event. The Garden is family friendly so feel free to bring strollers to transport little ones comfortably throughout the event.

 

Is Holiday Lights handicap accessible?

Holiday lights is wheelchair, power chair, and power scooter accessible throughout the building. Our outdoor paths consist of both paved paths and dirt paths. Our outdoor paths are handicapped accessible, however in the case of inclement weather the dirt paths may get soft and be more difficult to travel on.

 

What kind of food is available at Holiday Lights?

Holiday lights will have food trucks selling food and beverages by the Heritage Garden. Hot cocoa will be provided to each guest to help warm up hands in the cold brisk air.

 

Can I bring my own food and beverages?

Food, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Outside food and drink (no alcohol) is allowed in designated areas.

 

What happens if the weather is bad?

In the case of inclement weather, the event will continue indoors and if the weather breaks the outdoor portion will also become available. The Garden will alert patrons on social media and through email if the event is cancelled. 

 

Are there any refunds or exchanges?

No refunds or exchanges allowed. If you purchased a military ticket you will only be able to use them on Sundays. If you come any other night with the military ticket you will be required to pay the difference

 

What should I wear?

Dress for the weather and dress in layers since the event is both indoors and outdoors.

 

Is there a coat check?

There is no coat check.

 

What photo opportunities are available?

Pictures with Santa can be purchased day of at the event. Furthermore there are plenty of photo opportunities to snap in front of our towering Christmas tree and scenic Garden lit up for the holiday.

 

Will there be entertainment at Holiday Lights?

There will be a light show to music over our cypress pond, story time and live entertainment on select evenings. Look on capefearbg.org for more information.

 

I have a concealed permit, can I bring my weapon to Holiday Lights?

Weapons are not permitted at Cape Fear Botanical Garden, there will be Cumberland County Sheriff on duty at Holiday Lights peak nights for safety concerns.
