Description: Join us for a day of adventure, play, and exploration as we explore the world of animals from the furry to the scaley. Nature Play Day: Fur, Feathers, and Scales is an interactive and educational event designed for families with children ages 2-8.
Hands-on activities, live animals, and engaging experiments will let children learn through play. There’s something to captivate everyone’s imagination.
Activities include:
- Animal Encounters: Get up close and personal with live animals. Our knowledgeable guides will introduce you to fascinating creatures and share interesting facts about their behavior and habitats.
- Touch Table: Touching is encouraged as young participants have the chance to feel feathers, furs, and scales. Plus, gooey frog eggs and even wriggly worms.
- Treetop Scavenger Hunt: Explore the treetop canopy walk on a nature scavenger hunt. Use binoculars to search for birds, squirrels, and other tree top critters.
- Arts and Crafts: Unleash your creativity with animal-themed arts and crafts activities. Design your own animal masks and create a wiggly snake to take home.
- Games: Try out animal themed games. Catch dinner with a bird’s beak or see if you can jump as far as a frog.
