Happy Holidays from us to you. Come celebrate the holidays here at the Garden with festive lights throughout the Garden. The whole garden will be lit with lights and transformed into a Winter wonderland. Santa Claus, s’mores, entertainment and more will be offered through the holiday season here at the Garden. Veggie Volunteers

CFBG's vegetable garden is still producing!!  As we grow and donate produce from our Urban Agriculture Resilience Program vegetable garden, we are continuing our popular "Veggie Volunteer" program on select days (Nov 4, Nov 18, Dec 2, Dec 9 and Dec 16)! This session of Animal Tracks is FULL! There are two one hour - sessions of this class. Please register for your preferred time. Winter is a great time to look for animal tracks in the snow or mud. This program is full! Please register for our next After School Programs in January. After-schoolers will explore the Garden in search of deer and deer tracks, get a chance to look at real antlers, and create a deer craft.   Preregistration required. Ages 5-10. This program is FULL! Please join us at future adult workshops. Looking for a creative gift to give during the holidays? Bring holiday cheer to someone's home by creating an easy to make holiday gift wreath. Add berries, cones and fresh branches to a grapevine wreath with festive ribbons and bells. FULL! Homeschool: Animals in Winter

December 14 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This program is FULL!  In this class, homeschoolers will learn how different animals prepare for winter through migration, stocking up on food, growing thicker fur, or finding shelter. Adult Workshop: Spa Day

Christmas Bird Count

December 17 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join park ranger Amber Williams from Lake Rim City Park and become a citizen scientist by helping count the birds that live in Cape Fear Botanical Garden for Audubon’s Christmas Bird Count. All experience levels are welcome, binoculars will be provided. Bird watching requires patience and listening skills. This program is recommended for adults and mature children ages 10 +.
