Yoga in the Garden

This program is full. Please join us for future classes! Kids enjoy a night out while parents get the night off. This month our theme is luminaries. In science, the term luminary refers to a natural light-giving body like a sun. We’ll learn about natural luminaries, stargaze in the night, and make our own luminary lanterns to take home. This program is full. Please join us for future classes! In this class, we’ll play a fun game to learn why different bird beak shapes are perfect for different diets. We’ll also use binoculars to look for birds around the Garden for ages 6+. This is a drop off class. Please meet in the classroom. Nature Play Day: Dragon Wings

September 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Nature Play Days are an opportunity for children ages 2-8 to learn through play with fun outdoor games and activities that can be done at their own pace. This month our theme is dragons with a dragon ring toss, a chance to meet real reptiles, a dragon-themed craft, a buried treasure hunt, and more! Ages 2-8 with a parent or guardian. No preregistration is required. This event is FREE with membership or admission.

Preschool: My 5 Senses: Part A

September 29 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

We can use all our senses to explore nature! We’ll read a book about our five senses and then go for a walk to look for things we can touch, hear, smell, and even taste in the Garden. Finally, preschoolers will make a texture plate craft with objects that are bumpy, smooth, rough, or soft. Ages 4-6 with a parent or guardian. Please meet in the Children’s Garden Pavilion.
