This class is FULL! Please consider coming to the 11 am session or the Saturday class. Nature Tales is the Garden’s FREE Story Time and Craft Program for children ages 2-5 and their families. Practice this flowing eastern exercise with instructor Rich Martin while overlooking the Garden. Held every Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. indoors or outside depending on the weather. FULL! After School: Wildflower Wonders

March 3 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

This class is full! Please email bgoldentyer@capefearbg.org to be added to a waitlist. Look for early spring wildflowers blooming in the woods and learn why these small plants flower so early in the year. Each child will also get to make a flower craft to take home. This program is a drop-off class. Preregistration is required. Free with membership or regular admission. Ages 5-10

Family Program: Hummingbird Feeders

March 6 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Hummingbirds should be arriving soon.  Let’s learn about these amazing animals. We’ll create hummingbird spinners, look up-close at a hummingbird nest, read a hummingbird story, and try to collect the materials to build our own hummingbird nests. Each family will also receive a hummingbird feeder and a recipe card for hummingbird food to take home. Members ($15 per family), Non-members ($25 per family), preregistration required. All ages are welcome. A parent or guardian must stay for the entire program.

Homeschool: Salamander Secrets

Did you know that NC is home to more salamander species than anywhere else on Earth? In this class, we’ll read a fun salamander story, learn about salamander’s unique adaptations, and create a wooden wiggle salamander inspired by the bright color patterns of real salamander species. This class is FULL! Please join us for a later session. Preschoolers will have a blast while learning about recycling with fun stories and a chance to build their own robot out of recycled materials.
