Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of gospel music in the Cape Fear Botanical Garden Orangery on Saturday, July 20th. Experience the uplifting sounds of Will Harris and Friends, a renowned gospel choir comprised of educators, worship leaders, and psalmists from Fayetteville, NC, and across the United States.
About Will Harris and Friends:
Led by Dr. Will Harris, a distinguished figure in gospel music, Will Harris and Friends has garnered acclaim both nationally and internationally. Dr. Harris’s career spans decades, marked by his role as Minister of Music at Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and his pioneering work in gospel music education.
Event Highlights:
- Concert: An inspiring performance by Will Harris and Friends, showcasing their award-winning gospel repertoire. This will be a soul-stirring time of community and song.
- Book Launch: “Taylor Made: My Life, My Story” – Dr. Harris’s autobiographical journey through music, faith, and resilience. Dr. Harris will also debut his autobiographical exploration of his journey through life, music, and faith. Born and raised in the small yet vibrant town of Taylor, Mississippi, Dr. Harris’s narrative captures the essence of a soul nurtured by gospel music and tested by life’s numerous trials. From his early days playing the piano in church to his pivotal role as a Minister of Music, this book traces his ascent against a backdrop of personal and familial challenges, including growing up with parents who battled mental illness.
