Forest Bathing – Outdoor Excursion and Succulent Terrarium Craft at Cape Fear Botanical Garden

Description: Experience Shinrin Yoku, “Forest Bathing,” at the Garden. Immerse yourself in nature in a mindful way and use your senses to drive benefits for the mind, body, and spirit. Then, create a succulent terrarium in our Lunch Pavilion. 

Audience Target: Adults interested in exploring nature in a mindful manner

Format: Outdoor exploration, including journaling and planting a succulent terrarium

Presenter: Ashley Clayton, educator and yogi, is your guide. She will lead you through the benefits of Shinrin Yoku, then guide you through the trails of the Cape Fear Botanical Garden while providing you with journaling experiences. Once the forest bathing experience is complete, she will offer ideas on creating a open terrarium with succulent plants and provide techniques for helping your terrarium thrive.

Materials Provided: Journal, glass terrarium, soil, pebbles, moss, succulent
